Right now there are families all over that are having a perfectly normal day today.  But there will come a time in days or weeks or months when they'll find themselves in complete crisis.  Each new piece of information about the situation advanced heart failure has brought them to will feel like another enormous wave crashing down on them.  And whether it's muttered under their breath or cried at the top of their lungs we can promise you, they will say a desperate prayer.

What a privileged opportunity it is to run ahead of them today to play a role in answering that prayer.  For people we don't know and may never meet.  With no expectation or desire that they would ever pay us back.  Just because it's the right thing to do, and just because we can.
